Day 2!

So I am still a day behind with Shimelles class! Yesterdays prompt was about telling a story and recording details so it is easier to scrap them later.  So back to the wedding.  My 2 daughters  - the brides nieces were both asked to do a reading at the wedding, which they did brilliantly.  Fortunately they had a microphone as the noise of the waves and the wind did make it rather difficult. Afterwards the reception was in a pink hotel next to the beach, where we had drinks on the terrace and I took these 2 photos of my daughters - the elder one is with her boyfriend.

Blogging for Scrapbookers

Yesterday I started a new course from Shimelle called blogging for scrapbookers - you can find details here. Well as I scrapbook (sometimes) and have a blog it seemed like a good idea to join in. Having only got home last night though I am already a day behind!! Not a good start really but hopefully it will get better.

Yesterdays prompt was about setting goals for the course. As the next few weeks are looking a little hectic at the minute I need to be realistic so I will aim to blog every day - even if it is only a little bit and perhaps do 3 or 4 layouts too but that maybe optimistic!

Last week we went to Florida for my sister-in-laws wedding and I then went to the scrapagogo getaway for the weekend so I have lots of layouts and photos to share which should make the blogging easier.

As it is now dark and I haven't had chance to take photos of the weekends creations I will just post a picture of the bride and groom on St Petes Beach :)

St Aubins Fort LO

I have finally done a layout! I used a fab dream street paper from a scrapagogo kit and some gorgeous cork letters from Making Memories again from another gogo kit.

CSF - 14

Here is my first Christmas card! It was our monthly crop today but I wasn't in the mood for scrapping so made a couple of cards instead.

I used the sketch from Carol's Sketch Fun Challenge blog. I rotated the sketch and replaced the bows with flowers. The papers are MME again and the stamp has been coloured in with my copics. Thanks to Lorraine and Sue for the extra flowers to match the papers.

Sugar Bowl - 18

Here is the card I did for the current Sugar Bowl Challenge. The flower in the corner is a button I found in my jar and the papers are some new MME papers I bought in Orlando. I love this Sugar Nellie stamp and I have coloured her in with my Copics.

ATC Trail

This is an atc I made for a swap on UKS. The background is done with some new Mica Metallic inks I bought in America. The stamp is for a cj I was doing and I was trying some new effects and had some left over so as they are atc size thought they made a good background. The main image is a gorjuss girl stamp coloured with copics.

Sketch Saturday - 66

Here is my entry for this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge I used some old papers that I think came from a Scrapagogo kit ages ago and some new primas. The image is a Magnolia from the summer collection coloured with copics. The card was for my daughter who did great in her GCSE's.

Just Magnolia wk 11

This card is based on this weeks sketch on the Just Magnolia Blog. I coloured the image with copics and the papers are Daisy D and Foof-a-La matted on coordinations cardstock. I used my lovely new Martha Stewart punch on the edge of the yellow card.

Friday Sketchers 58

This is my take on this weeks challenge on Friday Sketchers. The stamp is one of my favourites - a Sugar Nellie called Fragile Beauty from Funky Kits. The papers are a mixture of Scenic Route, Daisy D and MME. I decided to try stamping onto Kraft instead of white and like the different effect.
