Papertake Weekly Challenge

I am loving stamping and colouring at the minute and I am getting a little more adventurous with my card making.  I used this weeks sketch on the Papertake Challenge Blog.

This is one of my new gorjuss girls stamps coloured in with promarkers.  The papers were in my scrap collection and an odd bloom left over from an old kit.

Beside the Seaside

I seem to have got a bit behind with my blog, so time for a catch up.

I did this layout for my UKS teams challenge that we set a few weeks ago.

The challenge was to use a book title (I know this is a song title but looking on Amazon it is also a book and so is 'Beside the Seaside').
To use earth tones, a water theme and secret journalling.

I used some Basic Grey papers from the granola collection that I won at our local Christmas crop and based it on a sketch from the Sketches by Tamara blog

Gogo Challenge

I did this layout the other day using February's gorgeous scrapagogo kit and the sketch challenge on their forum.  I love the scroll rub-ons put onto card and cut out and the letters from the kit fit perfectly.  Having just reread the challenge it was meant to be on a food theme so I won't enter it for the challenge but I have created another layout so no harm done!

Saturdays crop

At this months crop last Saturday I only did 2 layouts.  This one was done for this months UKS house challenge which has a theme of spring.

The ribbons and chipboard flowers are from this months ribbon kit from Angel Crafts. I decided it was time to use some ribbons rather than just collecting them!  The flowers are covered with a MM love notes paper and the buttons were from Veronica's stash - thanks:)

The photos are from our trip to Paris a couple of years ago.

The second layout is of the incredible trees at Yosemite again!  It was done with bits left over from a couple of old kits.  I think papers are October Afternoon and the background is Bazzill Swiss Dots card.

Cards

I have recently bought some stamps and pro marker pens so I have been having some fun making some cards for a change. All fairly basic but suitable for the kids friends. Here are a few of the ones I have done.

Penny Black Challenge

Here is another card I have made. This one was done for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge

It was a sketch challenge and requires the use of a penny black stamp so I used one of my new stamps, this cute lamb.

Papers are all coordinations cut with my die cutter and some ribbon and bling from my stash.

Previous Crop part 2

Some more layouts from last months crop. I decided to use some old photos for a change. These were taken 10 years ago on a family trip to the zoo.
Stash is a mixture of studio calico and gogo kits again.

These photos were taken last year when my parents were visiting. Sorry I can't remember where the card was from and the rub ons and embelishments were from my stash.

Previous Crop

Xmas-Day-2008I have just realised I didn't put the layouts I did at last months crop on here.  So here are a couple - Xmas Day 2008 which is fairly self explanatory!  I think I mostly used Decembers scrapagogo kit.

Mariposa-Grove-2

This layout is a simple one done using a studio calico kit.  I love this photo of the tree at Yosemite with Katherine in front of it to show the scale of it.

Birthday Card

Kirsty-Card
This is the card I made for my sister-in-law.  I used the colours pink, green and brown as that is this weeks challenge on the Pink Elephant Challenge Blog.  The stamp is a Penny Black Stamp, coloured in with promarkers.

Next Digi Course

Amazing-Scenery---JS-DID-wk
Yesterday I completed the week 1 layout for the next digi course I am doing.  This one is called Digi: In Deep again by Jessica Sprague.  I learnt an amazing amount doing this layout and love it.
